Summary 

In a dystopian future where Spain, under an authoritarian regime, faces severe resource shortages, pregnant Mia and her husband Nico embark on a perilous journey to Ireland. Fleeing government persecution after losing their daughter Uma, they join a group of refugees hidden in a cargo container. Separated during an invasion by other escapees, Mia finds herself alone in a sinking container after a storm. With limited resources, she must navigate the challenges of childbirth and survival at sea, pondering her next move in this desperate struggle for life.

Synopsis

Mia and Nico, compelled to leave Spain amid a crisis and oppressive government, flee for their lives and the safety of their unborn child. Past trauma haunts them as they lost their firstborn, Uma, taken by the military. Nico's plan to escape on a cargo ship to Ireland takes a grim turn as they are separated, and Mia narrowly survives a military attack.

Loaded onto a ship, Mia finds herself in a sinking container with various items she repurposes for survival. Giving birth to Noa during a storm, Mia battles delusions, stitches a leg wound, and catches fish. Nico's grim call adds to the challenge, but Mia, determined, constructs a makeshift raft after the container sinks.

Spotted by a fishing boat, Noa is rescued while Mia, unconscious, is revived by strangers. Finally reaching Ireland, Mia and Noa's harrowing journey comes to an end.
